My mother bought a Toshiba laptop last year on January 9th. A year later, 6 days after the manufacturer’s warranty expired her Toshiba laptop broke. It looks like the laptop’s motherboard fried. The cost to fix it was $900. Go figure. She has not used the laptop that much and she took a good care of it, but things happen. She was left without her primary (and only) communication device. Using Skype she stays in touch with the family and friends all over the world.

She was quite upset when the computer broke. She spoke with a friend, a nice guy who works at CDW.com about her dilemma. The nice guy told her that he would contact the manufacturer and ask if they can extend the warranty by a few days to cover this problem. After 5 days of nervous wait, Toshiba called and said that they will fix it under the original, one year manufacturer’s warranty.

Needless to say, my mom was happy and as soon as she got her Toshiba laptop back, she was calling all over the world using her favorite Skype. Life is good again.

Thank you Toshiba! Thank you the nice guy from CDW.com! Great customer service is still well and alive. Keep it up!
